Established in 1971 by students of DC painter Gene davis, Foundry exists as one of DC’s oldest non-profit, artist-owned cooperative galleries. Exhibiting a rich and versatile ensemble of original works of art at prices more affordable than most commercial galleries. The Foundry focus is on exposing new and emerging artists not typically showcased.
The overall theme of art for the Foundry Gallery is diversity, each month a different artist of the Foundry receives the opportunity to showcase their unique and original works.
Each month at the Foundry Gallery you’ll find:
- Solo shows in Gallery One featuring a unique glimpse of the art of a different Foundry artist member
- Exhibits of members’ original art in our Member Gallery, changing monthly
- Educational opportunities for artists and art lovers of all ages
